NEW! CRS Teens
8th-12th Grade
Affiliated with NFTY and the Reform Judaism Movement, join other CRS teens once a month to connect, spend time with clergy, and work on social justice initiatives in a laid back setting.
CRS Paid Internships
7th and 8th Grade
Students can earn money or volunteer hours through our internship program while strengthening their resume and connection to the Jewish community. Complete 25 hours of hands-on work in one of the departments at CRS through one-hour-per-week sessions. This work teaches students about networking and leadership skills that are essential for their future success.
Madrichim Program (School Assistants)
9th-12th Grade
Build community by helping in the Adventures and Discoveries programs (Pre-K – 6th grade). The program is a perfect way to contribute to CRS, allowing teens to act as Jewish role models and leaders for our younger youth community. Teens may choose to receive compensation or community service hours for participation in the program.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Gotham BBYO Chapter
8th-12th Grade
Affiliated with the international movement, our chapter is one of the best places to meet other 8th-12th grade Jewish teens at CRS. Our group meets one Tuesday a month from 6:15-7:30 PM and offers a diverse array of activities ranging from social nights to community service projects.

NEW! AJU Jewish Learning Experience
Manhattan Congregational Collaboration – Israel Course Cohort
11th and 12th Grade
AJU’s Jewish Learning Experience will be adding a course entitled INTRODUCTION TO HISTORY, CULTURE AND PEOPLE OF ISRAEL into their course catalog in the fall of 2024. This course will engage High School juniors and seniors in topics about Israel’s history, founding, the concept of Zionism, the contested boundaries of the country, the multifaceted elements of Israeli society, and more. Upon completion of the course, teens will receive 3 college credits.
Sunday afternoons at the Upper West Side JCC.
Tikkun Orleans Service Trip to Nola
8th Grade
8th graders have the opportunity to take a service learning adventure with us to New Orleans in order to help repair the world, explore the Jewish culture of the south, learn about other religions, and tour one of the coolest cities in the world! Of course, there will be jazz, beignets, and gators too!
Religious Action Center’s (RAC) L’Taken Social Justice Seminars
9th-12th Grade
The Bernard and Audre Rapoport L’Taken Social Justice Seminar in partnership with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) gives you the opportunity to impact our country as you share your views on social justice topics with decision-makers on Capitol Hill.
Students are encouraged to join us for advocacy and learning sessions with community partners before and after the trip.
Confirmation Program & Berlin Trip
10th Grade
Confirmation is the next major milestone in Jewish life after B’nai Mitzvah. Working with our clergy, you will experience a year of exploration where you will wrestle with some of life’s big questions, such as “Who am I? Where do I fit in? What do I stand for?” Discover your own answers as you experience eye-opening study sessions and a capstone trip to Berlin, the birthplace of Reform Judaism and Rodeph Sholom’s roots.

12th Grade
Explore the rich and manifold traditions of Sephardic Judaism. Expand your encounter with Judaism’s multi-vocality and meet diversity with curiosity and confidence. To culminate your high school years, deepen the pride in your Jewish identities while taking this adventure all while driving home a key tenet of Reform belief: there are so many authentic ways to practice Judaism.
