In addition to receiving three days’ worth of food each month at a supermarket-style food pantry, each client meets with a social worker to help address long-term issues hindering their ability to become self-sufficient, such as housing, language, and finances.
For thirty years, the HUC Soup Kitchen has served 60–100 guests seeking warm food and hospitality at the campus on West 4th Street.
Every Sunday from October to June for the last 20 years, this Church around the corner on West 84th Street has provided nutritional home-cooked meals for those in need in the community.
