Rabbi Jacqueline Koch Ellenson has been leading a contemplative journey through the Book of Psalms for over five years, searching for God’s presence and struggling with God’s absence in the world through this literary treasure. This Friday lunchtime class is a perfect preparation for Shabbat. New and returning students are welcome; each session stands alone.
Rabbi Jacqueline Koch Ellenson is a longtime congregant of Rodeph Sholom and Director Emerita of the Women’s Rabbinic Network.
This class meets monthly beginning in October 2021.
Step inside our virtual Klergy Kitchen! We’ll cook, we’ll bake, we’ll nosh. And we’ll learn about some of our favorite Jewish holiday foods. Kicking off this new CRS series, Rabbi Weitzman and food writer, Abigail Koffler, will talk about Rosh Hashanah while baking one of the holiday’s most iconic desserts – apple cake! From such a start, we will be sure to have a sweet new year!
Abigail Koffler writes about food, restaurants, and cooking with bylines in Eater, Bushwick Daily, and Forbes. She has a weekly newsletter, This Needs Hot Sauce, and offers cooking classes on meal prep, Jewish food, and easy weeknight meals. Abigail is a Religious School teacher here at CRS.
