We are so excited to be renovating our lobby to become brighter, more welcoming, and even more secure than it currently is! Construction is in full swing and is scheduled to conclude in late spring 2019. During this time, our regular community and social action programming will continue, but there may be some small changes in how we get in and out and work around our construction team.
Here is your one-stop-shop for updates on how the construction is going, what’s next, and what you need to know.
We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation while we work to create a more warm and welcoming entry point to our community.
***PLEASE NOTE:*** On Friday, March 22, the main entrance on 83rd St. will be CLOSED. But you are still welcome to join us inside! You can enter through the western entrance and walk through the Main Sanctuary, or you can enter through RSS on 84th Street and go through the courtyard into the main lobby.
As you visit the building, you can see that we are now in the thick of the lobby remodel. The stairway pillar is being dismantled and out of all the things we are doing the removal of that massive column might be the biggest structural change.
While this is a noisy time, it is also a time of wonder as we all get a once-in-a-lifetime glance at the shul behind the walls, built by workers who have long ago passed into memory.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Beginning Monday, December 10, all Arrival and Dismissal will be at the 10 W 84th Street entrance. Please relay this new arrival/dismissal plan to all members of your family and any caregiver who is dropping off/picking up your child.
If you have questions, please direct them to Kerith Braunfeld, Director of Religious Education.
