Welcome to Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City
The stirring melodies of our Cantors inspire the soul; the words of our Rabbis challenge the mind. Join us in person, on our livestream, or on Facebook.
Our Friday night services include music, prayer, and meaningful reflection. Whether you are seeking community, spirituality, or a moment of peace, there’s a place for you here. After services, enjoy a nosh and schmooze with fellow congregants, guests, and clergy. On the first Friday of each month, we celebrate birthdays together.
Livestream available on our website and Facebook.
The commandment to be kind to the stranger appears more times in the Torah than any other commandment. We have the obligation to extend kindness and to be welcoming. At every Erev Shabbat service at Rodeph Sholom, Shabbat Greeters welcome strangers and congregants, friends and families, into our lobby and Sanctuary. Serving as the face of our congregation, Shabbat Greeters help foster connection, offering greetings and answering questions. Join us in this mitzvah! You will experience the joy of extending Shabbat hospitality for our very special community. Sponsored by Caring Community. Register to be a Shabbat Greeter.
Join fellow congregants for a lively discussion of Torah and other books of the Hebrew Bible each Saturday morning. The study ends in time for the morning Shabbat service. As with our Shabbat services, newcomers and visitors are invited to study with us.
Please contact info@crsnyc.org by noon on the Friday before or refer to CRS News to receive call-in information for this session.
Join our clergy team for ReSoul—a weekly Shabbat morning gathering designed to rejuvenate and reconnect. Building on three decades of the Congregation Rodeph Sholom Chapel Service experience, ReSoul combines music, contemplation, and Jewish wisdom to inspire reflection and create community.
Our tradition teaches vayinafash—to “re-soul” on this sacred day of rest. Through ReSoul, Shabbat serves as a pathway to renewal. Blending ancient liturgy with modern melodies, this unique experience welcomes all and highlights the leadership of both clergy and congregants, showcasing how sacred moments are created as a community.
This session of Torah Study is led by our clergy. Join us to dig deep into the text of the Torah, our guiding text.
