At CRS, our unwavering commitment to combating food insecurity is driven by initiatives like Backpack Buddies and our collaboration with the West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH).
Help us sustain Backpack Buddies as a year-round program, ensuring children have access to healthy meals even when school is out. Your support also helps WSCAH feed more families and individuals in need. We can’t do it without you.
CRS FEEDS ACTION ALERT
At a time when 42 million Americans, including 1.8 million New Yorkers, face the freezing of SNAP support, we hold the responsibility to respond to this crisis with urgency and generosity.
West Side Campaign Against Hunger estimates a 50% increase in emergency spending to meet demand, and our Backpack Buddies program has already seen an immediate 25% increase in demand.
We ask every member of Rodeph Sholom who is able to consider additional support of our CRS Feeds fund to do our part in bringing immediate care for our neighbors at urgent time of need.
Sharing the Season. Feeding Our neighbors.
Our tradition teaches, “Do not harden your heart or shut your hand against those in need.” (Deut. 15:7)
This Thanksgiving, you can make a big impact close to home. 1 in 4 New Yorkers faces food insecurity, and that number keeps growing. To help ensure everyone has a holiday meal this season, CRS is partnering with both Backpack Buddies and West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH).
Every dollar brings us closer to a table where no family is forgotten during the holidays. Let’s share the gratitude of Thanksgiving by supporting CRS Feeds’ important work in our community.
Your donation is just the beginning.

Google Chrome and Firefox work well with our Live Stream, while Safari can be less dependable. If you are unable to view Live Stream at all, please try a different browser.
If you cannot hear the Live Stream, make sure you click “Tap to Unmute” at the top of the player.
