Friday, June 12 │ 6:00 PM

Stream the service on our website or on the CRS Facebook page.
CRS is a community that celebrates diversity and inclusion, where everyone is welcome! Please join us for this virtual special Pride Shabbat service honoring the LGBTQIA+ community of Rodeph Sholom with beautiful music and inspiring liturgy.
We are delighted that Eliana Shira Rubin (she/her) will be our guest speaker. She will be sharing her personal story and reflections with Rabbi Ben Spratt in a spirited conversation about gender non-binary inclusivity.
An influential artist and educator, Eliana is a beloved teacher in our Religious School. Her focus is on intertwining Jewish education, theatre education, and LGBTQIA+ education and activism. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, she will be attending Hebrew Union College’s Los Angeles campus this fall for her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Eliana is passionate about creating a world where people feel comfortable and confident being themselves. Her enduring positive message of encouragement is,
“There is no one right way to identify or present. Be brave! Be yourself!”
Be sure to tune into the URJ’s Wholly Jewish podcast’s second season opener where Eliana is the featured guest! The podcast invites Jews from a variety of backgrounds, lived experiences, and identities, to tell their stories and talk about their experiences and insights. You can listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts: ReformJudaism.org/WhollyJewish; on the Android app and other podcasting apps; and online at reformjudaism.org/podcasts.
As we welcome Shabbat together, we are obliged to celebrate Pride Month’s mandate every month. For more information, please contact lgbtq@crsnyc.org.
