Rodeph Sholom is delighted to add a new torah to our ark.

Linda F. Vogel Kaplan, longtime synagogue leader and volunteer, generously donated the scroll in celebration of her late husband, Hirsch Kaplan. The torah was completed by Rabbi Eisenbach, the same sofer who completed the torah that Linda and Hirsch donated 15 years ago in honor of Rabbi Levine. This new torah was completed and dedicated in a small ceremony on December 21st that honored Hirsch’s memory in the company of family and friends. Hirsch’s love of torah and Congregation Rodeph Sholom will be forever remembered through this meaningful and lasting tribute, and we are deeply grateful to Linda for this beautiful gift.
