On the heels of the painfully revealing New York Times exposé on the sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas against Israelis, join UJA-Federation for a powerful briefing on this topic.

We’ll hear opening remarks from Mandana Dayani, an attorney, activist, and Persian Jew who came to the United States as a religious refugee. She’ll be followed by a panel of three women who are leading unique efforts to lift up the voices of women and to help survivors of the sexual violence heal from the trauma. Panelists include Orit Sulitzeanu, who is quoted in the Times piece. We’ll also share new initiatives that UJA is funding to support the survivors.

Panelists include Ayelet Razin Bet Or, former director of the Authority for the Advancement of the Status of Women in the Ministry of Social Equality,  Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, Academic Director of the Ruth and Emanuel Rackman Center for the Advancement of Women’s Status at Bar-Ilan University, and Orit Sulitzeanu, Executive Director of the ARCCI (Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel).

This event will be moderated by Alex Roth-Kahn, managing director of UJA’s Caring Department.
