Tishah B’Av

Sun, Aug 7, 2022 • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

ONLINE

UPDATED 8/5/22: The Tishah B’Av service will now be Zoom only. While we had hoped to gather together outside in the park, the forecast is anticipated to extremely hot and humid with the likelihood of rain. We still look forward to a meditative service that focuses on the possibility of transformation amidst darkness. Please register for the Zoom here.

Join us as we observe the end of Tishah B’Av, a moment in the Jewish calendar when we seek light in the heart of tragedy. This traditional Jewish day of mourning pays tribute to the destruction of the First and Second Temples as well as the 6,000,000 Jews who perished in the Shoah. We will chant from the Book of Lamentations, Eichah, as we commemorate the countless Jews across history who have faced persecution and violence. Together, we will pray and meditate on how we might find hope and transformation in our darkest hour.
