*ONLINE* *POSTPONED* Shabbat Morning Chapel Service and Torah Study

Sat, Mar 21, 2020 • 10:15 AM

Schnurmacher Chapel (Congregation Rodeph Sholom)

Our special mitzvah project for this weekend has been postponed, but our Shabbat Morning Chapel Service is available via livestream on our website, and on our Facebook page.

Our Chapel Service is a highly participatory and energetic service, offering Jewish prayer and study in a welcoming environment. Our rabbis lead a lively discussion of the weekly Torah portion, and members of the congregation often chant Torah and Haftarah portions. This week we will have the special opportunity to participate in a social action event after services. Read more about it below!

Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees

MFA is the nation’s leading interfaith response to the Syrian refugee crisis with more than 100 participating organizations. They focus on providing humanitarian aid directly to war victims inside Syria and to raising funds for organizations that provide direct services on the ground. To date, MFA has facilitated the delivery of more than $133M of relief, including clothing, blankets, food, sanitary items, medications, medical equipment and supplies, water filtration kits and much more.

Join CRS congregants on Friday, March 20th after Erev Shabbat Services to sort and pack medical supplies which will be shipped in a container sponsored by CRS. We will be able to track its progress as the life-saving aid makes it way to those in need in Syria. This project will continue on Saturday morning, March 21st, following our Junior Congregation services and Shabbat Morning Chapel service.

To help us prepare, we are asking for people to RSVP using the form below. This opportunity is open to members and non-members.
