A reception and guided tour of “Lincoln and the Jews” at the New York Historical Society.

“Lincoln and the Jews” marks the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War and Lincoln’s assassination. It focuses on the significant, and hitherto unknown, relationships and interactions between Abraham Lincoln and his Jewish friends and associates at a time when Jews comprised less than none-half of one percent of the American population. At a time of rampant anti-Semitism, Lincoln became and advocate for Jewish equality and acceptance. This exhibition traces events in Lincoln’s like though never-before displayed original documents, artifacts, photographs, and Lincoln’s own writings.

Space is limited, and is currently sold out. Wait list is being accepted, please RSVP to 646-454-3052 or plannedgiving@crsnyc.org.
