End Family Separation NYC Rally

Sat, Jun 30, 2018 • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Even after the signing of Trump’s executive order on June 20th, there are still 2,300 children isolated from their parents, and no plans to release them OR to stop the detention of families seeking refuge and asylum in the US. The deplorable conditions where these children are being housed is inhumane – some children are at centers with histories of sexual abuse.

Join NOW to show our administration that this executive order is NOT enough to mollify us.

On Saturday, June 30, New Yorkers will join together with dozens of other cities in a National Day of Action to Fight for Families and to demand that Donald Trump and his administration stop separating kids from their parents! Families belong together, and we need to end this — NOW! New York’s End Family Separation Rally and March will be held on Saturday, June 30. People will begin gathering at 10:00 AM at Foley Square at 111 Worth Street, then march across the Brooklyn Bridge to Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. The official rally program will start at 11:45 AM in Cadman Plaza, according to organizers, and will conclude at 1:00 PM.

Every day, this administration threatens the very future of our communities. The conditions these children are being subjected to is deplorable.

All New Yorkers – families and children – are welcome and encouraged to attend. This will be a permitted event. We will be meeting at Foley Square and marching across the Brooklyn Bridge to Cadman Plaza.
