Bridges in Sound Concert Series: That’s How the Light Gets In
Thursday, November 5 • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Artistically commemorating Leonard Cohen’s 10th yahrzeit during a time when the very meaning of truth and humanity is being questioned offers a powerful opportunity to explore the beauty and depth of Cohen’s profound creations. The songs of this master poet, who carefully considered every word he put out into the world and bequeathed to us raw musical gems through which we can each see ourselves, are perhaps even more illuminating today than ever.
Join this group of top New York performers, cantors and special guests:
Shira Averbuch (vocals)
Dan Nadel (guitar, musical director)
Meg Okura (violin)
Satoshi Takeishi (drums)
Special Guests: Cantor Chaim Dovid Berson (Kehilath Jeshurun, NYC), Cantor Shayna De Lowe (Congregation Rodeph Sholom, NYC), Shira Bodnar, and Ronald Guttman.
The concert series is sponsored by Congregation Rodeph Sholom and 92NY and co-sponsored by Congregation B’nai Jeshurun.
