  • K–12th Grade Registration

    Dear Families,

Each year at this time, I write to you saying it’s already time for next year’s Religious School registration. The weight of writing these words this year feels different, and yet brings me comfort that the time has come to do something that feels customary when so many other parts of our annual routines are on hold.

Like so many of you, I can’t wait until we can be back together at CRS. What this period of social distancing has taught me, and all of us, is that we have a basic human need to be in community with others. While there may be uncertainties about the future, I am certain that our Jewish community will remain strong, will continue to celebrate together, learn together, and create new rituals together that will speak to our new reality. We need each other now more than ever, whether virtually or in person.

Below you will find next year’s registration materials. We commit to you that come September, we’ll be ready to greet your children and welcome them back to CRS, be it online, in person or a hybrid according to CDC and government officials’ guidelines.

While every year we appreciate early re-registrations and offer a monetary incentive until June 30th, this year in particular early re-enrollment will be crucial for our future planning. See below for our June programmatic incentive for registering early.

In these uncertain times, I hope it also brings you comfort to hear me say: it’s already time for next year’s Religious School registration. We’ve been thinking creatively and there will be exciting changes for the fall! We look forward to sharing another wonderful year with your student(s) and to joining in community with your family in whatever way we can.

    B’shalom,

    Kerith Braunfeld

Director of Religious Education & Youth

Following all of the instructions as they are listed below will allow for safe and effective transitions before and after Religious School. If your child takes a school bus to Rodeph Sholom: • Please make sure to inform the bus company of the correct drop-off location for your child(ren). • Students in Kindergarten-3rd Grade must be met at the bus by an adult who will then walk with the student to the proper location. • The school is not responsible for the supervision of children until they arrive at the proper drop-off location. • Kindergarten – 1st Grade: Drop-off at 10 West 84th Street • 2nd – 6th Grade: Drop-off at 7 West 83rd Street

    • Payment Information

    • Registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

8th-12th Grade: One tuition fee of $780 will be applied per 10th-12th grade student for all programming not including trips and CRS/BBYO. 8th Grade tuition is $360 for CRS families. 8th Grade tuition (for RSS families) & 9th Grade tuition is donation based. You will have an opportunity to write in a donation amount below.

Historically, Religious School tuition only covers 75% of the real cost, if you are willing and able to add 25% to your child’s tuition, it will allow us to continue providing support to our families and would be a true blessing. Last year, you made it possible for 62 children to receive a Jewish education.

Due to COVID-19, we anticipate an even larger need for financial aid. If you are able to give, please do so, so that we can continue to accept all families into our community regardless of their financial situation.

    • We’ve made it easier for you by calculating the 25% suggested donation amount. Any donated amount is very much appreciated. If you would like to give an alternate amount, please use the box further down.
