All are welcome at Shabbat Services, but children seem to especially enjoy our Shir Chadash service. This special service takes place on the second Friday of the month (November-June) and is a joyful celebration of Shabbat for the entire congregation–both the young and the young-at-heart! Built on the success of Shabbat B’Shir, Shir Chadash is a lively, musical, song-filled service led by our wonderful Cantors and Clergy alongside our outstanding instrumentalists on keyboard, drums, guitar and flute. It features eclectic and creative music, pulling from the best of Jewish and secular traditions. Each month features a different surprise musical moment from various groups within the Rodeph Sholom shule and School community.
Shabbat is a time for children of all ages! Junior programming occurs every Saturday morning for pre-B’nai Mitzvah children in our congregation. Each program encourages the children to participate in a Shabbat experience filled with song, prayer and stories – the perfect way to celebrate Shabbat.
Every experience is tailored to meet the needs of each group and is supervised by our extraordinary clergy, teachers and musicians.
