Days for Girls
First Monday of every month, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Help empower girls and women at Days for Girls, a grassroots non-profit organization that makes and distributes re-usable feminine hygiene kits to over one million girls and women in New York City. Overseen by Sisterhood, this is a great parent-and-child (age 11+) opportunity.
CRS Homeless Shelter
Volunteering for a night in the CRS Homeless Shelter is safe, easy, and makes a real difference for our fellow New Yorkers who have nowhere else to sleep.
In 2020 Congregation Rodeph Sholom proved that a community is more than just bricks and mortar; we are a rich universe of relationships with constellations that burn brightly even in the darkest times. In the true spirit of CRS, we met a new year with gratitude and good works, joining together on Zoom and on the streets of New York City to share our bounty and blessing with our community. Learn about this past Mitzvah Day, which took place on Martin Luther King Monday, January 18 – the new date for CRS Mitzvah Day.
Every month, one cause is highlighted by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism with an action item, most often to send an email to your legislator. Sign up to receive the monthly E-Advocacy newsletter.
