Last night we were treated to a wonderful workshop led by three speakers from the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, one of whom was our very own Donna Cephas! The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom brings together Muslim and Jewish women in intentional and nurturing settings, with the goal of overcoming hatred born of ignorance in our community and our world. Through PowerPoint presentation, personal anecdote, and audience participation, co-founder Sheryl Olitzky introduced concepts such as making diversity into a positive and the Change-Interfaith Triangle.
This session, Moral Obligations for Interfaith Engagement, was the first of a set of two. Even if you missed the first one, you can still come to the second on August 22! The second session will feature a Q&A, as well as an opportunity to tell your own story.
