This past weekend, one of our 175th anniversary events came to fruition. In the planning for some 16 months, Heritage Weekend featured a Friday Erev Shabbat with a wonderful guest speaker, Professor Andrew Dolkart, who wowed us with a beautiful talk about what makes our current home at West 83rd Street special—so much that no one knew. On Sunday, we were downtown at our first home, now Chasam Sopher, on 8 Clinton Street. We listened to Annie Polland, Senior Vice President for Education and Programs at the Tenement Museum, talk about life for our founders, and Morris Vogel, President of the Tenement Museum, led two tours around the neighborhood.
It was a wonderful weekend and thanks to all who made it happen!
