Death and Dying in Art, Cinema, and Literature
Rabbi Juliana S. Karol leads a three-part series that explores how culture shapes our conceptions of death as a critical part of life, and how Jewish tradition speaks to these themes. Using one book, one movie, and a series of works of visual art, we will explore how our own ideas and experiences might align with or differ from depictions of death and dying.
Please note: The first session will focus on visual art; no pre-work is required. Just bring a pencil and an open mind!
