Thanks A Thousand: A Gratitude Journey

Thu, Nov 14, 2019 • 6:30 PM

Congregation Rodeph Sholom
A.J. Jacobs

On a challenge issued by his son, New York Times bestselling author and CRS congregant A.J. Jacobs set out to thank every person who helps make his morning cup of coffee. The resulting journey takes him across the globe, gleaning wisdom from vivid characters, including the Minnesota miners who extract the iron that makes the steel used in coffee roasters, to the Madison Avenue marketers who captured his wandering attention for a moment, to the farmers in Colombia. A.J. will talk about how practicing gratitude can make our lives happier, kinder, and more impactful. And it will inspire us to follow our own “Gratitude Trails.”
