Congregant-led Torah Study

Sat, Mar 14, 2020 • 9:00 AM

Board Room (Congregation Rodeph Sholom)
This week we’ll be gathering virtually — over Zoom — for our Torah study at 9:00 a.m. ET, March 14th. We’ll be learning Genesis chapter 23, about Abraham burying Sarah.

You can join in two ways:

1. Video conferencing link (if you’re sitting down at a computer that has a camera and a microphone): https://ccar.zoom.us/j/578717706

2. Dial-in number (if you’re calling in by phone): +1 646 558 8656; Meeting ID: 578 717 706

Some comments about Zoom:

If you are not actively speaking, please mute yourself. What seems in your home/office like relatively quiet background noise can be extremely disruptive. To mute yourself if you are video conferencing, press the “Mute” button in the lower left corner. To mute yourself if you are calling by the phone, press “*6” to mute yourself (you may think you’re muted, but you need to press *6; simply pressing the “mute” button on an iPhone is, frustratingly, insufficient.)

Here is the link to the sources we will be using. During our call we’ll screen-share so that we can all stay on the same “page.”

“Turn it and turn it, for everything is in it.” (Pirkei Avot 5:26)

In its many years of existence, our Torah study group has found this teaching to be true. Each week brings a conversation about history, culture, theology, and more.

New participants are always welcome!
