This event takes place at Turtle Pond in Central Park

As we prepare to relinquish the burdens of 5784, let’s fulfill the mitzvah of Bal Tashchit, the prohibition against needless waste and destruction. When we perform Tashlich, we cast our sins and our pain into the water.  Reverse Tashlich invites us to remove “sins” created by humans that can hurt water and its surroundings. Rodeph Sholom and Central Synagogue are partnering this Elul to bring social action and purification to Central Park. As we prepare for a new year, we’ll honor one of the green spaces that most nourishes us as New Yorkers. All ages welcome!
