Taste of Torah: Reform Judaism in Israel w/ Rabbi Levine

Tuesday, February 4 at 8:00 am - 9:00 am

***Special Session***

Do you want to learn more about Reform Judaism in Israel before you vote in the WZC Elections?

Come to a special Taste of Torah session where we’ll talk about Reform Judaism in Israel! We’ll hear Rabbi Robert Levine delve into parshat Beshalach, and also hear Rabbi Josh Weinberg speak about what Reform Zionism is, and how you can be a part of it. Rabbi Weinberg is the Vice President of the URJ for Israel & Reform Zionism, and Executive Director of ARZA (Association of Reform Zionists of America).

What does the Torah actually say? Who were our matriarchs and patriarchs? What happened on the journey to the Promised Land? Join your CRS clergy for a deep dive into sacred text through our Parshat HaShavua class. This one-hour session will explore the week’s Torah portion, building connections to our own lives, and unpacking layers of meaning within the text and beyond through the rich tradition of commentary. No prior knowledge required!
