Mitzvah Weekend

October 26 at 5:30 pm - October 28 at 5:00 pm

In a political and economic climate that makes fighting hunger more difficult—and necessary—than ever, this year’s annual Mitzvah Weekend focuses on food insecurity. Chef Greg Silverman, Executive Director of our longtime partner, West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), will speak on Erev Shabbat. Saturday evening we’ll go off-site to WSCAH for a social action-oriented Havdalah. Sunday’s Mitzvah Day projects will feature hands-on activities for all ages. Join us for a weekend of activism and education. From our annual Yom Kippur Food Bag collection to our twice-yearly food drive, from our Backpack Buddies program to our monthly volunteer day at St. Xavier’s Soup Kitchen, we are active participants in our community’s effort to fi ght hunger. Together, we can make a difference.
