This month’s Lunch Together will feature a film screening of Rescue in The Philippines.
Rescue in The Philippines tells the story—narrated by Liev Schreiber—of how the five Frieder brothers, Cincinnati businessmen making two-for-a-nickel cigars in pre-WWII Manila, together with Manuel Quezon, Paul McNutt, and an ambitious Army colonel named Dwight Eisenhower, helped 1,200 Jews escape the Nazis and immigrate to the Philippines. Documentary runs approximately one hour.
A wonderful way to connect, learn, and eat, this year’s Lunch Together program will include engaging performances and presentations. All are preceded by an hour of schmoozing and noshing. Try it—you’ll like it! A dairy lunch will be served, and the programs are open to all.
A contribution of $10 per person is suggested. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
