An evening of learning and action

NCJW NY upholds the Jewish values of justice and equity for all people. And in our home of New York City, where the cost of living can only be comfortably afforded by the few, it’s more important than ever to make sure we’re including economic justice in our work.

But, we know that the idea of economic justice can be intimidating. That’s why we hope you can join Rabbi Adina Lewittes on April 27th alongside  to learn a little bit more about economic justice and how Jewish texts and commentaries have been examining it for millennia.

Explore ideas like:

  1. What does a restorative social order look like?
  2. How do we define equality and inequality?
  3. What is the nature of economic justice?
  4. How should a society allocate its resources equitably?
  5. What are the roots of the Jewish concept of Tzedaka?

NCJW NY Council House (241 W. 72nd Street)

Light refreshments will be served

Presented by NCJW NY’s Advocacy Leadership Committee, in partnership with the Jewish Women’s Resource Center
