First Monday of every month
Help empower girls and women at Days for Girls, a grassroots non-profit organization that makes and distributes re-usable, sustainable feminine hygiene kits to over one million girls and women in New York City, around the country, and abroad. You do not need to know how to sew to participate. This is a great parent-and-child (age 12+) opportunity.
Please register in advance by emailing email@example.com
Once you are registered, you will receive further details on location.
No sewing skills or special skills necessary.
We will trace & cut fabric, sew, attach snaps & string bags, sort supplies & assemble completed kits.
It’s fun, simple, easy and inspiring.
1 kit will immediately improve 1 menstruator’s life.
Ages 12 and up are welcome.
All welcome (boys & men welcome too!).
Community service volunteer credit available for all students, including B’nei Mitzvah Students, Confirmation students.
Remote volunteer option: Volunteers can arrange with the Days for Girls team to work on projects remotely. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate. Please follow our social media accounts & send us photos of your volunteer work:
