Congregant Series 4 of 4 with Stephen Rosen

Tue, Jun 28, 2016 • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Congregation Rodeph Sholom

Come celebrate the centennial of general relativity, and the recent detection of  gravitational waves with congregant Stephen Rosen, a theoretical physicist. Steve’s talk will feature simple explanations of Einstein’s work, why it is important today, why it was denigrated as “Jewish science” by the Nazis, what’s Talmudic about physics, and why Nobel Laureates are disproportionately Jewish.

A specialist in nuclear astrophysics and cosmic radiation, Steve studied general relativity from Professor Banesh Hoffmann, a colleague and collaborator of Albert Einstein.
