Join us and support the middle school students at Rodeph Sholom School as Broadway’s smash-hit musical comes to life on stage. With a high-energy rock score by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison County) and a hilarious book by Tony winner Robert Horn (Tootsie, Shucked) and Dan Elish (13), 13 JR. is a coming-of-age story about discovering who you are, finding your place, and staying true to yourself.
When 12-year-old Evan Goldman is forced to move from New York City to a small town in Indiana after his parents’ divorce, he’s thrust into a whole new world of middle school cliques, crushes, and social politics—just as he’s planning his Bar Mitzvah. Faced with the challenge of starting over, Evan must figure out how to win friends, avoid enemies, and make his big day one to remember. Funny, honest, and full of heart, 13 JR. captures the rollercoaster of adolescence with energy, humor, and unforgettable music.
