David will speak during our 6:00 PM Erev Shabbat service, which is open to the public and livestreamed, offering reflection and perspective as part of our Yom HaShoah observance. Following the service, CRS members are invited to a post-service conversation at 7:15 PM featuring David in dialogue with Senior Rabbi Ben Spratt, exploring the themes of his book Antisemitism: What Everyone Needs to Know® and how we can respond with clarity, courage, and moral leadership in this moment. A light dinner will be served, and space is limited.
About David Harris:
David Harris is a lifelong Jewish activist who served as CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) from 1990–2022, an organization described by The New York Times as the “dean of American Jewish organizations.” The late Israeli President Shimon Peres called him the “foreign minister of the Jewish people.” He has been honored by more than 20 governments for his international human rights and diplomatic work and is the most decorated American Jewish organizational leader in U.S. history. Harris is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics and has been a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University and Oxford University.
