Celebrate Shabbat with Rodeph Sholom’s own Gayle Feldman, a prolific author and editor. This year, Feldman published Nothing Random: Bennett Cerf and the Publishing House He Built, a captivating biography, a history of 20th-century New York City and an exploration of the people who shaped American literary history over the last century.
Bennett Cerf, a Manhattan-born Jew, was the co-founder of Random House and a panelist on the game show What’s My Line? Feldman’s Nothing Random received a rave review from The New York Times Book Review and was selected by The New Yorker as one of the best books of the first half of 2026.
Rabbi Karol will interview Gayle about this decades-long project and how Bennett Cerf fits into the pantheon of American arts and letters. Brunch is included!
