Israel in Depth: A Reform Day of Learning
Sunday, May 17 • 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
A Reform day of learning!
Join the URJ for a North American–wide virtual training experience for the Reform Movement. This is a critical opportunity for congregational lay leaders and professionals to hear from experts, ask big questions, and connect with others who are working in similar spaces. This half-day training was developed for this moment, to address the challenges and responsibilities facing the Jewish community in a post-October 7 world.
During this experience, our experts, educators, and presenters will offer workshops that address Israel education, Israeli-Palestinian relationships, Reform Movement partnerships, organizing/advocacy, and thought leadership on Israel, Zionism, and Jewish Peoplehood.
American-Israeli educator, author, and activist, Rachel Goldberg-Polin, will join us to speak about her new book, When We See You Again, a searing portrait of a mother’s grief and strength in the wake of unthinkable tragedy.
This is an opportunity for those seeking deeper grounding, moral clarity, and leadership and educational tools for engaging Israel in a complex time through a Reform Movement lens!
