Rabbi Naamah Kelman and Dr. Elan Ezrachi are a husband-and-wife team who have been involved for more than 40 years as professionals and lay people in critical areas of Jewish life in Israel. Rabbi Kelman was the first ordained woman rabbi in the State of Israel and the former Dean of HUC-JIR in Jerusalem and Dr. Ezrachi is an educational specialist in the area of Jewish peoplehood who served as the founding CEO of Masa – Israel Journey. Our visiting scholars will share reflections on how Israel’s war against Hamas impacts and shapes Israel education going forward.
