Erev Shabbat Services with Rabbi Leora Ezrachi-Vered and Father Saba Haj, Leaders of Spirit of the Galilee

Friday, February 6 • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Congregation Rodeph Sholom

During Erev Shabbat services we are excited to welcome Rabbi Leora Ezrachi-Vered and Father (Abuna) Saba Haj, the leaders of Spirit of the Galilee (SOG). As a Jewish Israeli and an Arab Christian in Israel (and the leader of the Greek Orthodox Church of the city of Iblin), they lead a group of dedicated religious and spiritual leaders of all faiths and traditions from the Galilee (Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, and Buddhists).

This interfaith group meets monthly and is an active voice for peace, tolerance, equality, and humanity. SOG works to create a joint culture and experiences showcasing the beautiful mosaic that is the Galilee, a model of shared society for hundreds of years. During services, Father Saba and Rabbi Leora will share their experiences as religious leaders, pray together, sing from our prayer traditions in Hebrew and Arabic and lay out their vision for a better Israel.

Livestream available on our website and Facebook.
