The Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, now known as The Noguchi Museum, was the first museum in the United States to be established, designed, and installed by a living artist to showcase their own work. Located in Long Island City, Queens, the museum is considered one of Noguchi’s greatest achievements
Home to the world’s largest collection of his works, it features indoor and open-air galleries in a repurposed 1920s industrial building, as well as a serene outdoor sculpture garden. In keeping with Noguchi’s belief that art should be an experience, works are often displayed without barriers or interpretive text, encouraging visitors to engage personally and introspectively
Transportation from CRS to the Noguchi Museum is included in this outing.
CRS Outings is made possible by the generous support from Marcia and David Lavipour, and Maxine Schweitzer.
