We Marched for Our Lives. Now let’s click to prevent gun violence in New York State.
Mass shootings, suicides, and other acts of gun violence can be prevented when people who demonstrate that they may be a danger to themselves or others are denied access to guns. An Extreme Risk law is currently before our state legislature. It enables family members or law enforcement officers to seek an Extreme Risk Protection Order that blocks a person who exhibits certain “red flag” warning signs from access to weapons. The New York State Assembly has passed the Extreme Risk bill. Now it is before the New York State Senate. Let’s tell our State Senators that we expect to make New York State safer by passing this legislation. Click on this link to send a postcard urging support for this bill to your State Senator.
