On Thursday, December 13th, CRS congregant Dr. Randi Hutter Epstein gave a talk based on her newly-released book, Aroused: The History of Hormones and How They Control Just About Everything (WW Norton). Dr. Epstein’s talk included the contributions of many distinguished Jewish doctors and activists to the field of endocrinology, including one determined Jewish housewife who became better than the entire National Institutes of Health at collecting pituitary glands. At end of the talk, attendees were treated to signed copies of Dr. Epstein’s most recent book.
