On Saturday, January 21st, Congregation Rodeph Sholom joined with fellow synagogues on the Upper West Side to join in the Women’s March. With an estimated 100 members, we first went to B’nai Jeshurun to join in a rally, which featured our own Rabbi Sari Laufer, who also spoke about the march at Erev Shabbat (publication of her sermon to come).
It was a peaceful, joyful thing to walk to the main rally with our larger community. We sang, we greeted old friends, and most of all, we affirmed our commitment to seeking justice and repairing the world. Below are a few pictures of a great day.
