Come celebrate Purim as we learn about the characters in the Megillah! Then, enjoy mask and crown making , hamantaschen noshing, and fun! Costumes and silliness encouraged.
5:30–6:00pm Megillah Reading and Shpiel
Join us for a megillah reading and shpiel. Wear a costume and bring a box of pasta to use as a grogger. All boxes will be donated to West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH).
6:00–7:30pm (Grades K and up) : Purim Carnival
Celebrate Purim with your friends! Over 25 activities from face-painting and carnival games to cotton candy, pizza, and so much more. There’s something exciting for all ages and we hope to see you there!
8:00pm Brotherhood Purim Experience
Join Brotherhood for an adults only experience featuring comedian Cory Kahaney. Named, “Best Comedian in NYC” by Backstage, she recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Singin’ Swingin’ Shabbat (Ages 0–6 years/Infant to 1st grade)

Sing, dance, snack, and shake those sillies out! Come celebrate Shabbat with us with an interactive Torah reading, family activities, and more!
Jr. Congregation (Ages 7–13 years)
1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, September 16th–June 2nd
Rock through a Shabbat morning service that’s fun (and meaningful) for the whole family. Kids lead prayers, chant Torah, and find their own voice in the CRS community; parents kvell, pray, chant, and sing.
These services alternate on Saturday mornings and occur only when school is in session. Please check the synagogue calendar for specific dates.
The Children’s Choir is for children in both the Religious School and Rodeph Sholom School from second through sixth grade. The Children’s Choir of Rodeph Sholom sings at High Holy Day and Shabbat services throughout the year and frequently performs at outside concert venues.
Jr. Jr. Choir
Junior Junior Choir is primarily for children in the Early Childhood Division of the Rodeph Sholom School and the Rodeph Sholom Religious School. This choir sings periodically at Shabbat services, performing songs they learn throughout the school year. For ages 3–6 yrs. The Junior Juniors sing at our Shir Chadash services periodically throughout the year. Meet at 5:40 PM in the President’s Office just before services begin. PJ Our Way is the next chapter of PJ Library, for kids ages 8½–11. PJ Challah for Hunger

This monthly series of challah baking experiences is designed to offer a unique social action opportunity for little hands. Come and help others who are hungry in our community while making new connections. Your family will braid two challahs—one for you to keep and one to give away to someone in need. Join us for storytelling, snacks, and some serious challah braiding!
