Enrich your Shabbat experience with post-worship study on select essential texts of Jewish identity and belonging. The sessions will be led by various teachers, including Rabbi Juliana Karol, Rabbinic Intern Vanessa Harper, Cantorial Intern Toby Glaser, and congregant Carl Mankowitz.
Rabbinic Intern Vanessa Harper will lead an introduction to advanced bread shaping techniques, text study, and an opportunity to create an interpretive challah to take home and bake.
In this three-session course, Rabbi David Ellenson will explore the life and legacy of three 19th century rabbis—Rabbi Aaron Wise of our own Rodeph Sholom, Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise of Cincinnati, and Rabbi Benjamin Szold of Baltimore, as well as the prayer books each wrote.
