    You will have a chance to study a portion of the Torah each month with one of our clergy, including Rabbi Robert Levine, Rabbi Benjamin Spratt, Cantor Shayna De Lowe, Rabbi Greg Weitzman, and Rabbi Juliana Karol.

    Rabbi Jacqueline Koch Ellenson leads a contemplative journey through the Book of Psalms, searching for God’s presence and struggling with God’s absence in the world through this literary treasure. This Friday lunchtime class is a perfect preparation for Shabbat.

    Enrich your Shabbat experience with post-worship study on select essential texts of Jewish identity and belonging. The sessions will be led by various teachers, including Rabbi Juliana Karol, Rabbinic Intern Vanessa Harper, Cantorial Intern Toby Glaser, and congregant Carl Mankowitz.

    Interpretive Challah Shaping

    Rabbinic Intern Vanessa Harper will lead an introduction to advanced bread shaping techniques, text study, and an opportunity to create an interpretive challah to take home and bake.

    Tales of Three Rabbis

    In this three-session course, Rabbi David Ellenson will explore the life and legacy of three 19th century rabbis—Rabbi Aaron Wise of our own Rodeph Sholom, Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise of Cincinnati, and Rabbi Benjamin Szold of Baltimore, as well as the prayer books each wrote.
