Will Brockman (he/him) is thrilled to join Congregation Rodeph Sholom as Cantorial Intern, after serving the pulpit of Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, NY. Will is a third-year cantorial student at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College in New York. Born and raised in New Jersey, Will brings a lifelong love of music and prayer to his work. Will is a proud graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, where he studied at both The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He also holds a Master of Arts in Performance Studies and a Certificate in Jewish Studies from the University of Toronto. Will is a member of the Weitzman-JDC Fellowship’s eighth cohort, through which he has partnered with Jewish communities in Athens, Budapest, Vilnius, Warsaw, Wrocław, and most recently – Cape Town. He believes that music is a powerful tool for creating sacred space — both in connection with the Divine and in community with one another — and is excited to join in song with everyone at CRS.
