In less than a month, New York legislators will close the book on the 2017 legislative session and pack up for the summer.
The leaders of the pro-choice movement are collecting signatures for a petition that they will be delivering en masse to Albany on June 7th. Their goal is to have at least 15,000 signatures and 10,000 are already in hand. The more signatures collected, the more the NY legislators, especially in the Senate, as well as Governor Cuomo, know that New York women will not be silenced when it comes to protecting their reproductive rights. There is a short time to accomplish this; the petitions must be in by FRIDAY, JUNE 2.
