A Year of Music at CRS

This message was sent to the congregation from Senior Cantor Shayna De Lowe on September 2, 2025.

Dear Rodeph Sholom Family,

Music has the power to connect, inspire, and remind us we belong. This year, CRS will be alive with song—concerts that will fill the room with joy, Shabbat experiences that will bring us closer, and opportunities to raise our voices in harmony together. I hope you will join us for these incredible musical moments.

Together in song,

Cantor Shayna De Lowe

Senior Cantor

Congregation Rodeph Sholom

This fall, we launch a powerful new concert series, Bridges in Sound, and we begin during the week in which we mark the two-year anniversary of October 7th. At a moment of remembrance and reflection, music offers us a way to hold grief and hope together, to listen deeply, and to affirm our shared humanity.

The opening concert, Songs of Sweetness & Sorrow, brings together Israeli-born, New York-based artists Maya Lahyani (Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano) and Dan Nadel (acclaimed guitarist), alongside violinist Sara Caswell and drummer Satoshi Takeishi.

Free for CRS Members
