If it’s May, that means it’s time for the annual Congregation Rodeph Sholom Theater Company’s performances. Now in its 10th year, the theater showcases some of the outstanding talent in our congregation and every year, audiences are bowled over by the quality of our musical production.
This year’s production was The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five Tony-Awards, including best book and best original score. Our production had the audience roaring in appreciation. With so many CRS cast members, including both adults and students from both the Religious School and RSS, the Broadway-worthy set, incredible choreography and outstanding singing even impressed the composer and lyricist of the show who happened to come not once, but twice!
It is one of the greatest ways we build community here at the synagogue and this year’s production did so in wonderful ways!
