BOB COVEN
Bob and his wife, Joanne, have been members of CRS for 28 years, beginning when their eldest daughter enrolled in RSS summer camp. All three of their children are RSS graduates and became B’nai Mitzvah at CRS. In 2022 and 2024 Bob and Joanne hosted the Havdalah in the Hamptons event. They also are regular volunteers for Backpack Buddies. Bob is a valuable member of several committees, including Investment, Development, and the Membership/Engagement Council. From 2014-2022 he served as a board member, Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the National Eating Disorders Association, and from 2009-2016 he was a devoted fundraiser for the CT chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and was awarded the 2011 Man of the Year Award as the top fundraiser. Bob has also been a member of the University of Michigan’s Economics Leadership Council since 2014. Bob is a Managing Director at Raymond James in the Public Finance division and has also worked at UBS, Citicorp, and Prudential Bache Securities. He received his BA from University of Michigan and his MBA from Syracuse University.
The overall revenue for CRS (including the Synagogue as submitted by the Synagogue Budget Committee and approved by the Synagogue Board of Trustees; and the Rodeph Sholom School as submitted by the Rodeph Sholom School Finance Committee and approved by the Rodeph Sholom School Board of Directors) for the coming year amounts to $38,292,434, which includes the carry-over of prior years’ surpluses of $843,070. Projected expenses are $38,292,434, which include a contingency of $690,599 and capital expenditures of $1,409,948.
