Erev Shabbat
All are welcome at Shabbat Services, but children seem to especially enjoy our Shabbat B’Shir service. It is a song filled worship opportunity taking place at 6 pm every second Friday of the month, November through June.
Shabbat Morning for All Ages
Shabbat is a time for children of all ages! Junior programming occurs every Saturday morning for pre-B’nei Mitzvah children in our congregation. Each program encourages the children to participate in a Shabbat experience filled with song, prayer and stories – the perfect way to celebrate Shabbat.
Every experience is tailored to meet the needs of each group and is supervised by our extraordinary clergy, teachers and musicians:
- Sing Along Shabbat
For children ages 0–7.
Come for songs and stories as we celebrate Shabbat together!
(9:30 am – 10:00 am, first and third Shabbat of every month) - Shabbat B’Yachad (”Shabbat Together”)
For children ages 0-7.
Lively prayer, Torah reading, fun activities, and a light lunch!
(9:30 am – 10:30 am, second and fourth Shabbat of every month) - Junior Congregation
For children ages 8–12.
Where our youth become leaders – sing, celebrate, and even learn to chant from the Torah!
(10:30 am – 12:00 pm, second and fourth Shabbat of every month).
Our Young Families group hosts concerts, Jewish Holiday craft activities and more for families with children ages 5 and under. Please contact youngfamilies@crsnyc.org to be notified about upcoming events.
